Working together
Meeting with a financial advisor is an exciting first step toward creating a solid
financial plan for your future. We understand, however, that many new clients are
not quite sure what to expect or what to bring to the initial meeting.
The first meeting will be a conversation that will allow you and the advisor to get to know one another through focusing on your current situation and future dreams. Moving forward, your Ameriprise advisor will continue to have discussions about all aspects of your financial situation and how it relates back to your dreams and goals.

What to expect
While every client meeting is unique, during the first meeting, an Ameriprise advisor
will usually:
- Provide a history of Ameriprise Financial and our approach
- Explain the financial planning process
- Identify your goals and any financial concerns
What to bring
For the first meeting with an advisor we suggest you bring the following:
- A list of any questions you have regarding your current financial situation.
- Supporting documents for accounts or areas of your financial picture that you feel deserve immediate attention.
- A list of future dreams and goals you would like to achieve, including both short and long-term goals.
Brokerage, investment and financial advisory services are made available through Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. Member FINRA and SIPC. Some products and services may not be available in all jurisdictions or to all clients.
