Community participation

I have been a Rotarian for 11 years, serving my community is so important to me and my family. I have been involved with F.I.S.H. (Friends in Service Helping) for many years, helping to raise funds for food, housing and essentials for the homeless and underserved in my community. Education is so important for everyone to have access to, I have been involved on many levels with Western Nevada College over the last eight years. The college has come a long way creating scholarships and programs to make achieving a degree available to everyone.

Interests

I love living in Northern Nevada! There is never a shortage of things to keep me busy. I love to camp, hike and kayak. I also enjoy have a great glass of wine watching the fantastic Nevada sunsets. I am always striving to improve my golf game... which is still not going very well. I have a teenage daughter that is the light of my life, I try to enjoy every minute. All too soon, she will be headed off to college. I have a big stinky mastiff named Kramer who is my buddy and I should mention my husband Steve. He is the smartest person I know.... I moved here from the Midwest in 1996, I have found my home here.
