My approach

My education in finance, as well as my previous experience as an insurance company executive and as Deputy Commissioner of the Social Security Administration, gives me a unique perspective when I consider clients' financial concerns and goals for the future. As an Ameriprise financial advisor, I am backed by a team of professionals at the corporate office who specialize in everything from retirement and tax planning strategies to insurance and asset management. My mission is to help clients plan to reach their financial goals through a personal relationship based on personalized, knowledgeable advice.

My interests are family, reading, gardening, travel and serving on the Boards of local non-profits.

An active member of the Rotary Club of Leesburg for over 25 years, I started the Club's annual New Years Day Race (the REHAU RotaryResolution Race) in 1998. The Race raised nearly $350,000 for local charities. My wife, Carole, and I were Co-Directors of the Race for 20 years.

I am the Chairman of Conversations at Oatlands, a lecture series. Each year this group invites prominent speakers to engage in a "conversation" at Oatlands Plantation, a National Trust property near Leesburg.
