Interests

Like many families in Bismarck, ND I love to spend my time outdoors on the Missouri river or a nearby lake with family & friends, especially Lake Sakakawea.

I am a big sports junkie and love to watch any and all sports. Basketball has always been my favorite and I played it growing up through college. I have also been a Minnesota Vikings fan, but in the last few years have become a big fan of the Eagles now that they have Carson Wentz who is from Bismarck, ND.

Lastly, I have a strong passion for educating people on Type 1 Diabetes. I have been a Type 1 Diabetic for 8 years now (Wow, time flies).

Community participation

I volunteer monthly at Ministry on the Margins in Bismarck, ND to help our local homeless community. Ministry on the Margins gives our homeless a warm place to stay in the mornings while we serve them coffee, breakfast and donuts. They are also able to access a full food pantry for groceries and clothing donated by the community. I became involved in this organization because they are a Christian worship based organization and because they do an incredible job to help people get back on their feet.
