Interests

Like many in ND I love to spend time outdoors, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Missouri River or nearby lakes with friends and family. I recently bought a mountain bike and am looking forward to traveling to MT and MN to hike and bike.

Basketball is a passion of mine. Currently, I play on a men’s league team and have coached boys' basketball at Century High School. I still love to go to their games to cheer them on.

I have a mission for educating our community about Type 1Diabetes, as I was diagnosed 9 years ago. By being active with Lions Club, which focuses on diabetes advocacy, I hope to raise awareness and funds for the cause.

Community participation

I volunteer monthly at Ministry on the Margins in Bismarck, ND to help our local homeless community. Ministry on the Margins gives our homeless a warm place to stay in the mornings while we serve them coffee, breakfast and donuts. They are also able to access a full food pantry for groceries and clothing donated by the community. I became involved in this organization because they are a Christian worship based organization and because they do an incredible job to help people get back on their feet.
