My approach

Over my 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, what I’ve found is that financial decisions and money matters are driven by emotion first and logic second. Because of this, I like to take a more holistic approach when I work with clients. Helping them to understand where they are and where they want to be from a logical and emotional perspective makes trusted advisory work relatable and allows clients to find more value in what we do. Along your financial journey, you are bound to stumble upon some unexpected, and many times unwanted, paths and obstacles. This is why I believe it is so important to understand that the financial journey you are on is an ongoing process; not a single path that you venture upon once in your lifetime. Something I say to my clients is that change is inevitable, and growth is optional. Nothing in life stays stagnant or consistent. By providing them with more of an overall vision as opposed to a calculated plan consisting solely of numbers and figures, my clients can be more flexible along their journey with the understanding that it will never play out exactly as they think it will. My role as an advisor is to be a guide – not to provide clients with all the answers or tell them exactly what they should do but to help evaluate different options and outcomes that are probable for them, anywhere from war and pestilence to sunshine and rainbows. It’s all about the understanding that life is somewhere in between.
