Community participation

There are so many good causes out there. I'm an active member at my church, LifeCo in Chester VA, and lead in our Crews system. I recently started up our Royal Rangers Outpost and serve as Outpost Coordinator for the church (OP 405), leading other commanders and boys (on average 25+ weekly attendance). We have fun, learn something about our Lord, and learn/do something practical on a weekly basis.

We recently camped together at Camp Rock Enon in Gore VA for our District campout, where we hiked, shot firearms, and caught many fish in the pond.

Interests

Creating things with my hands is great relaxation tool for me; through woodworking I get to zone out and build. Over the years I've entered and won several woodcarving competitions, as well as built a small business creating custom dart cabinets.

When I'm not in the shop building or hanging out with family, I really enjoy long range shooting--it's good "group" therapy.

As I grow professionally too, I also realize time with my little boys is so very important, Owen is now 4 and Jack is 2, and Cara is 3 months.
