National Donut Day

What does National Donut Day have to do with finances?

Aside from many donut houses offering free or discounted donuts which positively impacts our budget, it is a good example of marketing.

National Donut Day was established in 1938 by the Salvation Army to honor “Donut Lassies,” women who served donuts to soldiers during World War 1(1). While they weren’t marketing during the war what a wonderful launching point for a business to create an opportunity to expand their customer base!

Of course, one could argue from the consumer side that the one-day savings may lead to future enticements requiring a look at the budget (and perhaps the waistline!).

What day of recognition could you use to promote your business?

Perhaps we advisors should rally for a Financial Advisor Day?!

Thinking about your future financial independence? We can help –just a call away.
