Interests

My top interest is spending time with our growing family which includes:

  • My husband, Nick.
  • Eldest daughter Ashlynn, her husband Chris and their two children, Lincoln and Stella.
  • Our son Abram, and his wife Mandi.
  • Middle daughter Ailey and her husband James.
  • Youngest daughter Mariah, her husband Cole, and their daughter Axele.

We spend every season of the year on the farm between row crop, cattle, and tree farming.

Each home Iowa State football game we support my alma mater - Go Cyclones!

In the warm months, I care for our garden and lawn.

Volunteering with our church, local non-profits, and community events hold a large place in my heart.

Community participation

In 1997 I became involved with the Chariton Historic Preservation Commission because I take interest in and care for the history of our unique community.

Actively volunteer with Chariton Area Chamber/Main Street since 2011.

In 2012 myself and additional dedicated community members established the Lucas County Preservation Alliance to cultivate a thriving cultural and economic climate in the City of Chariton and throughout Lucas County, Iowa.

I am a member of the Chariton High School Alumni Association since the organization establishment in 2008 and volunteer annually for the homecoming activities and scholarship selections.
