  • I attend the Jack Quinns Running club regularly.
  • I compete in triathlons, and various running events.
  • International travel is one of my favorite things to do.
  • I am currently working on climbing all of the Fourteeners.

Community participation

  • We organize and sponsor an annual event called Holidays for Hope that raises money for the Empty Stocking Fund in the Pikes Peak region. It benefits 30 non-profits that help people in crisis in our community. This is our eighth year, and we have become the largest single fundraiser for the Empty Stocking Fund. In 2016 we raised about $26,000 for our community.
  • I sponsor a flower bed in downtown Colorado Springs, at Cascade and Pikes Peak. My wife Sharon and I maintain it, and one day maybe we will win the Golden Trowel Award!
  • I adopted a section of the Santa Fe Trail downtown, between Bijou and Uintah Streets.
