Interests

Building and developing teams and teamwork is a passion of mine because I have experienced the impact that a great team can have on solving problems and achieving goals. Through my college education at the Virginia Military Institute, experiences in the U.S. Army and as a civil/environmental engineer, I learned that large, complex projects are designed and built successfully using an array of a team of subject matter experts. This passion for building and working within effective and highly functional teams is why we have employed the advisory team approach to designing solid financial plans and serving our clients' needs into the future.

Community participation

In my personal life I am drawn to teamwork as well, whether it is coaching youth athletics in our local recreation programs, serving on non-profit boards, or working within my church, I usually am drawn to working in groups that are tasked with accomplishing some goal or solve some kind of problem. Seeing things change for the better, as a result of a group of people working together in their strengths, provides the greatest sense of satisfaction for me.
