Divorce is one of the most emotional and financially complex experiences a person can face. I know that firsthand. When I went through my own divorce in 2015, I chose mediation and, looking back, I left a lot on the table. That experience opened my eyes to how much clarity and guidance are needed during this process and how few people truly understand the financial implications of each decision being made.
That’s what inspired me to become a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®). I wanted to combine my professional background as a financial advisor with personal insight into the challenges that arise during and after divorce. My goal is to help others, especially women navigating significant wealth transitions, make informed financial decisions that lead to greater long-term stability and confidence.
Who I work with
I work primarily with clients who have $2 million or more in investable assets and who are either considering divorce or already working through the process. Often, they’re high-net-worth individuals with complex portfolios or business interests, and they want to understand how the division of assets will affect their future financial picture.
It’s important to note that I don’t provide mediation or legal services, and I always encourage clients to work with an attorney. My role is to collaborate with attorneys and other professionals to analyze proposed settlements, evaluate liquidity and tax impacts, and project how different scenarios could play out over time.
Helping clients plan for what comes next
Divorce is not just about dividing assets; it’s about rebuilding a foundation for the future. I help clients see the long-term implications of their financial decisions so they can move forward with greater confidence. Together, we review where they stand today, what they’ll need in the years ahead, and how to position their assets for success after the divorce is finalized.
My work doesn’t end when the legal process does. Many of my clients continue working with me afterward to create a comprehensive financial plan that supports their goals for retirement, family, and legacy.
A personal mission
What began as a difficult chapter in my own life has become one of the most meaningful parts of my career: Helping clients find clarity in the midst of change and watching them regain control of their financial future.
Together, we can work to keep you on-track toward your financial goals.
