Community participation

I volunteer monthly at Operation Nightwatch to help families in our community. I became involved with this organization because I believe there is no end to the reasons people become homeless, and sometimes people just need a helping hand.

I am on the board of directors of Kawangware Kids, a nonprofit organization helping kids to a better future. I became involved with this organization because I believe all children should have access to meaningful education.

Interests

My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family in Leavenworth Washington. Christmas in Leavenworth is spectacular with the snow, mountains, and cheerful people making it an amazing experience.

I love the outdoors, and living in the Pacific Northwest provides some great opportunities to get out and explore. My wife and I enjoy going on long day hikes, snowshoeing, and camping with our friends.

I have been riding motorcycles since I was a kid, and Oregon has plenty of nice country roads to get out and ride. Some of my favorite places to ride are down Highway 101, Eastern Oregon, and the roads out to Detroit Lake.
