Community participation

I coach 12th Grade Basketball for the Associates, a local non-profit organization. I have watched the boys I began with grow into young men that I am proud of. While our last year has been bittersweet, I can only hope that lessons that we have taught and the bonds that have been made will last a lifetime.

Interests

• Travel & Food - Travel puts me out of my comfort zone and challenges me to see things from new points of view. It forces me out of my bubble and piques my curiosity in a very humbling way. Trying new food provides unique insights and perspectives. While I am lucky to live in an area that is diverse in both its people and cuisine, nothing can replicate the culture steeped in local flavor and tradition.

• Sports - I have played, coached and followed sports since my youth. Sports brings out both the best and worst in us in our quest for competition and camaraderie, but also teaches us invaluable lessons in humility, sacrifice and graciousness.
