This is a special event honoring veterans and fallen military heroes. VAU Veterans and Athletes United will provide their 28-foot wide by 6-foot-tall American flag that symbolizes the shape of the flag when draped on a fallen service member’s casket. It is created with over 7,000 dog tags of those fallen service members during the War on Terror. There are 50 gold stars honoring all gold star families nationwide. Randall Hambree, who is a Navy Veteran, VAU staff Member, and Western Memorial Coordinator, will be the guest speaker on behalf of VAU. Lunch will begin at 11:30am and ceremony following approximately at 12:30pm. There is no cost or obligation.
