Community participation

During my freshman year of college, my best friend Garrett Meriwether tragically was killed by a drunk driver while driving home. To honor his legacy Garrett's parents established the Garrett Meriwether foundation which provides scholarships to Hospitality students attending UNLV. The foundation also provides funding to families living in Las Vegas who cannot afford to bury their children. Each year I assist the family with hosting events to raise awareness to the dangers of drunk driving and also to raise funds for the foundation.Each year I also volunteer with Boys and Girls Clubs to throw an event called Kids night out.

Interests

My interests include finance, sports and spending times with loved ones. I frequently spend time with my immediate family and friends. I like to spend time traveling to visit friends, attending music festivals, and sporting events in my free time. I am a huge fan of our Las Vegas sports teams primarily the UNLV Rebels and Vegas Golden Knights. I grew up in the Valley and proudly call Las Vegas home. Most mornings, I enjoy reading finance books, getting a little bit of exercise at the gym, or running for leisure. On the weekends you may catch me playing pick-up basketball or working on my horrid golf swing.
