You may have many goals ahead — retirement, education, family events, travel — or may be focused on a single need like saving for a new home. Regardless of where you stand, I look forward to being the advisor who knows what’s important to you, not just the numbers in your portfolio. A financial advisor who understands your goals and broader financial picture. And importantly, a financial advisor who makes it easy to get started.
What does a financial planning meeting look like?
When people picture meeting with a financial advisor, they may imagine pie charts, spreadsheets, and being lectured.
That’s not it. Here’s what happens in our first meeting:
· You talk. About your goals, your family, your worries.
· We listen.
· We look for opportunities to make things simpler and more secure.
We might talk about taxes, retirement, estate planning and gifting strategies – but only when it makes sense.
The point of the meeting is about building forward.
