Interests

  • I consider myself an amatuer "foodie" and enjoy cooking - just for my wife and I, or for crowds. Recently remodeled the kitchen. Nothing better than food, family, friends and laughter in the kitchen.
  • I spend what little spare time I have attempting to get a small white ball to fly in a straight line. I have not yet mastered this skill.
  • I love to travel with my wife, family and friends. Recent travels include Italy, Cabo San Lucas (survived Hurricane Jimena), Sedona AZ, Kauai Hawaii, Spain, Seattle, Puerto Vallarta Mexico, the "Bourbon Trail" in Kentucky, Aruba, Tulum Mexico, and a Danube River Cruise.

Community participation

  • Various community projects and missions - Wesley United Methodist Church and the Apostles adult Sunday school class.
  • Each year since 2012 a group of clients and friends join me in volunteering at Ozarks Food Harvest in Springfield MO. In 2013 we packed 1,326 weekend backpack meals for kids on low cost/free lunch program at school. In 2014, we sorted part of the largest contribution of canned goods ever received by Ozarks Food Harvest! In 2015, we again packed 1,200 weekend backpacks for local school children in need. This is done in partnership with the Ameriprise National Day of Service
