Community participation

Financial Advisor, Alissa Guerrero, is an active participant in the following communities:

  • Houston Food Bank: On an annual basis, she volunteers at the Houston Food Bank helping with whatever they need. Over the years she's had tasks such as sorting produce, weighing produce, packing lunches, etc.
  • SARA Animal Sanctuary: Because of her strong love for animals, she frequently volunteered at an animal Sancturary during university taking on roles such as cleaning the cat farm, feeding cows, petting goats, etc.
  • Grappling Zone Volunteer: Alissa has always had a love for mentoring kids, she volunteers regularly with the children's program.

Interests

In her free time Alissa Guerrero has spent a great amount of time pursuing her interests such as:

  • Academics: Being the first-generation college graduate in her Latino family
  • Learning Languages: She speaks English, Spanish, Romanian, and Mandarin. She is learning her 5th language currently.
  • Traveling: Being an international studies major allowed her to travel whilst in university and opened the door for scholarship opportunities abroad after university.
  • Community Service: She's a big believer in giving back to the community and serving your community.
  • Time with Family & Friends: Being of Mexican decent, family is everything to her.
