July/August 2021 Newsletter

I’d like to say that it’s hard to believe that we’re coming to the end of the summer season but…as we know…time always seems to go so quickly.

I hope that you have enjoyed the good weather and had an opportunity to spend time with family and friends…in person! For many, this would have been the first time in over 15 months.

I know that there are new concerns emerging regarding the COVID virus. The Delta variant has caused the CDC to revise its guidance on mask wearing. I am hopeful that will be the extent of it. As long as we can keep the economy open and continue to see one another in person, I will deal with the masks!

All of that said, I am happy that there is a sense of “normalcy” returning. Weekends are filled with things to do, sports leagues (professional, little league, and otherwise) are up and running, the Olympics are taking place, and people are travelling and eating out again. This is all very healthy emotionally as well as economically.

As we approach the 4th quarter, it will be interesting to see if we are able to meet the robust expectations that the market has. If so, that could bode well for 2022. If not, it could be a sign of troubled waters. Either way, we need to control what we can. By now, you know that means being diversified, tracking the assets in your portfolio, and not falling victim to fear or greed. The times change but the story never does!

On a personal level, I am thankful that our practice has continued to grow. It has been a great privilege to be working with my son, Tony V. as we call him. Of course, for the past 19 years, it has also been an honor to have Kim on board as our rudder!

Also, on a personal note, about 30 Zambris will be gathering at a large rental home in the Catskills to celebrate my Dad’s 80th birthday. Of course, he’s 81 now but COVID nixed our plans for last year! As many of you know, Dad (Joe) was the first of the 3 generations of planners we now have in the family. To this day, I still hear from people who tell me that my dad was the most genuine person they have ever worked with. Much of what you see in me, I learned from my father. I certainly want to thank him for that (at least the good stuff!). Happy Birthday Dad!

Lastly, I hope that you have had a chance to listen in to my weekly radio show. It is at 5:30 pm every Wednesday on 103.9 FM, LI News Radio.

If you happen to be out of range, you can always go to LI News Radio and click the “Listen Live” link.

Until next month, stay well and God Bless!

Tony
