My approach

My Approach

I enjoy solving puzzles. When it comes to working hard for my clients, these “puzzles” if you will, include investments, tax planning strategies and occasionally family dynamics. I start by listening to understand you and the core values your finances should align with. Like establishing the border on a jigsaw puzzle, your values can set the frame for the rest of the pieces.

Once your goals and needs are clearly defined, we make recommendations designed to help you live a more confident life.

Those pieces are put in place in your own way, at your own pace either in person, over the phone, or via our Ameriprise app.

You can find additional information on how I work with new clients and help them stay on track on the Working Together tab or by watching my Living a Wealthy Life video .

When you’re free from worry about your finances – no puzzles left to solve - you can be who you want to be and go where you want to go. That’s the essence of a brilliant life.

  • I came to Augusta in 1992, live on Clark's Hill lake, but spend summers with family at our cottage in Wisconsin.
  • I enjoy kayaking, windsurfing, and "flying a hull" on Hobie Cat sailboats.
  • I love being a Dad. Our daughter Blaire is married to Jimmy, raising our grand-daughter Jemma. Ashley is a KSU graduate working in a lab. Our son Collin is in college at GA Tech and William lives in St. Cloud, MN.
  • My daughter Katie took her life in 2017. I try to help families prevent suicide, seek professional help for depression and, at times, help folks find their own path to grief recovery from the loss of a child. Big hugs are a start.

Community participation

Working with Columbia County Cares we feed the hungry, inviting our clients to join us on our National Days of Service.

I have three primary roles in the Queen of Angels Church: Lector, Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist and a leader of the Knights of Columbus council.

I am quite passionate about Megiddo Dream Station, which provides vocational and personal training to adults to find meaningful employment. We truly have the opportunity to live the phrase, "Teach a man to fish..."
