Community participation

Carolinas Wealth Management - Community participation photo

After the attack on September 11, 2001, I felt compelled to serve our country and enlisted into the South Carolina Army National Guard. I went on to become a commissioned officer and helicopter pilot. My service includes a combat tour in Iraq, Homeland Security missions on the southwest border, and many stateside responses to floods, fires, hurricanes and assistance to law enforcement with the South Carolina Governor's Counterdrug and Counter Narcotic Terrorism Division.

Interests

My spouse, Leah, and I have two daughters, Ali Kathryn (12) and Emerson (9). I have been active in business and civic affairs in Batesburg-Leesville for many years. This service includes being a member of the Batesburg-Leesville Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Batesburg-Leesville Rotary Club, Heritage Life Member Lodge #138 AFM and former volunteer Firefighter/EMT with the B-L Fire Department.
